Hosts

  1. Make your guest feel at home when they arrive at your property, they are paying to stay with you and may want to return in the future.
  2. Hand them your spare key upon arrival (Security Digs are not responsible for any loss or damage to keys, as per our terms and conditions).
  3. Form a professional relationship with your guest, this may come in useful for future work opportunities.
  4. Show them the facilities accessible upon arrival at your property, including lounge areas, washing machine, WiFi, kitchen and other amenities such as garden space or car parking.
  5. Ensure the room you are renting to you guests is clean and tidy upon arrival – like your pics on your Security Digs website.
  6. Make sure your guests are aware of local amenities such as shops, banks, restaurants etc.
  7. Ensure you have established a good communication system with your guests as soon as they have booked your spare room (email, phone, portal etc.).
  8. Keep your rom prices as low as possible – you will have other competition in your area.
  9. When posting pics on your portal, try to keep them as clear as possible.
  10. Remember to confirm on your Security Digs portal that your guest have arrived at your property.
  11. Don’t forget to pass over your unique referral code to the people you refer for membership, as you will need this to claim back your £10 referral reward.
  12. Dont forget to show your sia license to your guest upon their arrival at your property as proof of identification.

Guests

  1. Respect the person and room you are sharing a property with, including the host’s  private/personal areas – it is their home after all.
  2. Leave the property and room you are renting in the same condition as you found it.
  3. Try not to lose your spare key – your host will probably charge you for one which is lost or damaged.
  4. If you wish to invite guests over to the property you are staying at, be polite and ask the host of the property first.
  5. Ask your host if they can offer you a meal on occasion for an agreed fee, some of our members offer this to their guests as part of the service.
  6. Form a good communication system with your host using email, phone, or through your portal.
  7. Upon arrival at the property, remember to confirm via you Security Digs portal that you have arrived and all is well.
